Aloha Mainland! Mile High City

Aloha Mainland! Mile High City

Colorful Colorado has so much to offer, you really cant fit everything you want to do all into one visit, (so you must revisit) lucky for me I have my family in Colorado so we get out there as much as we can. I love Colorado for it’s beauty, beer, sports teams, and people. Here’s a little of what a trip to Colorado can offer you. And one of our longest stops on our road trip.

Hike! The Rocky Mountains are more than just a pretty backdrop, they are full of endless amounts of scenic trails, and other mountain activities! So get out there and explore. One of the best places to go if you’re close to Denver is the Rocky Mountain National Park. It is a National Park (obviously) so it is well maintained and easy to access, with a visitor center and park rangers around to tell you which way to which trail etc.. it’s a good spot to go if you’re new to Colorado, plus the views and hikes wont disappoint.

As previously stated.. Colorado is riddled with good hikes. Just do some research and decide which ones are best for you!

Red Rocks Amphitheater.

An awesome spot to hike around and explore, an even better spot to see a concert at! If you are visiting in the Spring or Summer, you wont want to miss the chance to catch a show at this legendary venue.

BEER! So Colorado is the official unofficial birthplace of craft breweries. Sounds like an official title, right? I mean every year it hosts one of the most prestigious beer conventions in existence, so ya I’d say Colorado knows a thing or two about the delicious hoppy beverage.

I mean if Adolf Coors decided to start his namesake beer company at the foot of the Rockies, then there must be something to that Mountain water to make the beer flow like wine in this great state.

So after that long-winded introduction… If you love beer and trying out cool new micros then Colorado HAS to be on your list of must-stops on a road trip.img_3098

Above is the outside of the Coors Brewery, you can participate in a free tour of the facility where you learn how beer is made, plus 2 free beers at the end. And if you’re really tight on moolah, you can retake the tour as you please and keep getting those free brews.

Concerts! Along with the hiking, the views and the beer, concerts are another great thing about Colorado. All the best artists and bands usually stop here on their tours. With a ton of great venues Colorado is a good spot to catch a show. While we were here, we went to Fiddler’s Green Amphitheater to see Jack Johnson perform. Good night.

Check out the city.

Denver is a fun town with a lot of history. If you’re anything like me, looking at the old buildings and learning the history is fascinating. And if that doesn’t do it for you, there is no shortage of entertainment, bars, clubs, and sporting events to keep you happy. download (9)
