This post is slightly different than those of the past…mainly I’ve posted about my recent travels and my life on the beautiful island of Oahu. BUT that is not my life anymore, my husband and I, being loyal subjects of our United States Military have been relocated to South Carolina. Now, I am a west-coast girl by birth and Colorado hippie at heart, but forever and always an Island girl in my soul–so the “south” is a foreign land to me. One that’s taken me a while to adjust to, and get the desire to want to explore. Having said that, SC has it’s beauties and treasures as well. And now that I’ve settled into our life here, I’m ready to get out and see what it has to offer!
New Place, new experiences.
We bought our first home together and I couldn’t be happier. The whole experience of searching for the “perfect” home was thrilling. My husband and I found a realtor right away and began our search. We looked at about 30-40 different spaces and low and behold we ended up back at the very first house we looked at. Everything about it was what we wanted and within our price range of course.
And… we got a puppy!
Maui our newest addition to the family.
This is our backyard, that backs right up to a little pond. One of the selling points for us for sure!
Being married and a new homeowner is an adventure of itself. I wouldn’t have imagined it being so..well..fun. Starting something that is your own– you have this incredible ability to make it what you want. My husband and I can start a life, void of any negativity of the past, and work toward a future, a life, that we are proud of and best of all we can do it together. I can say that it is best adventure and can’t wait to let it unfold.
I know this post is a little more personal and gushy than what I usually write about. But it is a (life)style blog and I feel like sharing the new marriage and life experience is worth something.
I hope to start going out and exploring this state and others here on the east coast for new experiences and cool blogging content.
