I know it may sound trite, but if you want to get something done if there’s a thing you want to achieve- Write it down! Putting pen to paper, or fingers to keyboard, brings life to the goals you set for yourself. It’s a notion that’s thrown out there a lot, you read about in all the top lifestyle publications or self-help books, but I always kind of thought it was a thing successful people said because they like to hand out advice like candy to their little children who look up to them. I started this year with a GOALS post, what I have always started is a bullet journal. In it, I began a vision board and goals tracker pages. I have goals for this blog, goals for my novel, fitness and health goals, daily goals, weekly and monthly goals. I’m literally so full of goals, I had no idea I was so ambitious!
I’m not just pumping BS out there, I really believe in the power you give a thing when you write it down. It can have the power to motivate you to get that something done. I’ve always been a list maker, not a lot of things bring me more satisfaction than checking something off a to-do list. Goal tracking gives that satisfaction plus the added bonus of achieving whatever badass thing you wanted to accomplish.
We are a bout a month and a half into the New Year, and this is where I’m currently standing with the goals I’ve set for myself.
Money Saving: About 500 of the 1,000 for our trip to Hawaii
Health and Fitness: Wanted to lose 10lbs in 4 months, I’ve lost 5!
Novel: Finsh Chapters 1-3 by the end of February (Already done it)
Blogging: I want to do 2 posts a month (minimum) This is my 4 th post this year !
It’s really not a bunch of crap. I am now a believer of the goal tracking lifestyle. Everyday I wake up with a purpose, I think about all the things I want to accomplish and look in my journal for the inspiration. Hope you enjoyed the share.
